- Flow Rate Technical Group: The group has estimated the well flow rate at 12000-19000 bopd. This appears to be a rigorous estimate.
- TKO – BP stopped injection last night at approximately 2300 CT to monitor data (first we’ve heard about that; that step was not discussed last night). Phase 2 injection begins this evening. BP will use bridging material and perhaps some junk shot. Results are encouraging to date, and the hydrocarbon flow has been suppressed during mud injection. However, hydrocarbon flow from the well continues. Equipment is performing well.
- Seven in situ burns were conducted today.

Bud,
Please post the above link, it is a link to a video of the Memorial Service for the 11 lost. I think it is important to remember and focus that in the midst of all the finger pointing and political posturing that 11 fathers, sons, husbands, grandfathers, uncles and nephews lost their life doing admirable and necessary work. The environment will be restored, lost rigs will be replaced, companies will return to profitability…but these families will NEVER get these guys back and they will never be the same again. What is the real tragedy in this incident?
Thank you Jeff. I will also add this link to the post at the top of the home page. bud
